dnata is seeking a Safety Specialist to provide technical expertise on Occupational Health and Safety matters. This role supports risk reduction and ensures safe operations across dnata’s global operations. The Safety Specialist will drive safety performance improvement, lead incident investigations, and develop safety campaigns to support dnata’s Safety Management System (SMS) targets. The role requires frequent international travel and offers a full-time, office-based position in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse range of safety projects across dnata Airport, Cargo, Catering, and Travel Operations.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and vendors.

• Develop safety performance objectives and implement safety improvement plans.

• Lead the implementation of Safe Place + Safe Person observation programs.

• Plan and support major incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are taken.

• Create safety campaigns based on performance analyses and emerging safety trends.

• Develop intervention plans for underperforming businesses to meet SMS requirements.

• Lead safety initiatives, conduct training, and ensure continuous safety performance improvement.

• Monitor the effectiveness of dnata’s safety standards and ensure compliance across businesses.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Tertiary qualifications in safety, training, or a related field.

• 8–10 years of experience in safety, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.

• Ability to travel 50–60% of the time to support global operations.

• Advanced knowledge of OHS regulations, safety codes, and behavioral-based safety programs.

• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).

• Proficiency in computer and IT literacy, data collection, and analysis.

• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and professional writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Any relevant certification in Safety.
