Etihad Rail Operating Companies is seeking a Resource Planning Specialist to join their Corporate Office in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and proven experience in resource optimization within the transport sector—preferably rail. This role focuses on operational efficiency, service planning, and data-driven workforce forecasting across multiple departments including Driving Crew, Station, Maintenance, and NOCC.

Reporting to the Planning & Performance Manager, this full-time on-site position involves occasional travel to crew sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage service plans including timetables and consist diagrams.

• Monitor and improve KPIs like service availability, punctuality, and delay attribution.

• Optimize resource management and staff rostering across operational domains.

• Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws and regulatory staffing requirements.

• Integrate fatigue management principles in scheduling and planning.

• Analyze operational data to identify performance improvement opportunities.

• Build forecasting models to enhance manpower utilization.

• Contribute to scheduling standards focused on operations and safety.

• Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Preferred Technical Expertise:

• Experience using O&M planning and scheduling systems like:

  • IVU Technologies

  • Giro Hastus

  • Dassault DELMIA Quintic

• Strong analytical and modeling skills using Excel and other planning tools.

Soft Skills Required:

• Adaptable and quick learner in fast-paced environments.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong documentation, planning, and organizational capabilities.
