Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee site execution for a major real estate development project in Dubai. The successful candidate will ensure construction activities comply with approved IFC drawings, technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and project timelines while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Quality Control

• Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with approved IFC drawings and specifications.

• Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and workmanship standards.

• Enforce strict quality assurance and quality control procedures.

• Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

• Conduct inspections, manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

• Maintain high finishing standards throughout project execution.

Planning, Progress & Reporting

• Review contractor work programs and cash flow forecasts.

• Track site progress against the approved baseline schedule.

• Identify risks, delays, and quality concerns, implementing mitigation strategies.

• Lead weekly coordination and progress meetings with contractors and consultants.

• Prepare structured progress, performance, and risk reports for the Developer.

Commercial & Contract Administration

• Review variation orders and assess technical justifications.

• Validate completed works prior to interim payment certifications.

• Monitor potential cost overruns and provide recommendations for cost control.

Authority & Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with Dubai Municipality and other relevant authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.

• Coordinate with consultants, architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams.

• Ensure timely inspections, approvals, and documentation submissions.

• Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and project handover processes.

• Ensure submission of as-built drawings and complete handover documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

• Minimum 10 years of UAE construction experience.

• Proven track record as Resident Engineer on residential or mixed-use developments.

• Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality regulations and approval processes.

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage contractors and site operations.

• Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
