Position: Resident Engineer (Marine)

Job Overview:
A leading multinational design & engineering consultancy is hiring an experienced Marine Resident Engineer to join its construction supervision team in Dubai. This is a direct-hire, permanent role for a professional with extensive experience in marine infrastructure projects, ports, coastal developments, and offshore structures.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Supervision & Compliance:

Oversee marine construction activities, ensuring compliance with design plans & contract specifications.

Conduct workmanship & material inspections, ensuring high quality control standards.

Monitor project progress, timelines, and compliance with contractual agreements.
Stakeholder & Contractor Management:
-
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders for smooth project execution.

Review & approve shop drawings, soil/material tests, and safety inspections.
-
Manage variation orders, change requests, and contractor claims.
Technical & Reporting Duties:

Supervise marine infrastructure installations, including breakwaters, coastal protection, quay walls, dredging, & marine piling.

Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, safety audits, & material submittals.

Ensure adherence to HSE standards, identifying and mitigating construction safety risks.
Desired Candidate Profile:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).

12+ years of post-graduate experience in marine infrastructure & coastal projects.
-
Strong expertise in marine construction methods, materials, and quality control.
-
Experience in the Gulf region is preferred.
-
Chartered Engineer / PE registration is a plus.

Proficient in project management software & construction-relevant tools.
