TRACTEBEL, a global engineering and consulting company, is seeking a Resident Engineer – Electrical Substation for a high-voltage substation project in Abu Dhabi. This full-time, on-site role involves managing the design and construction supervision of 400kV / 220kV / 132kV substations, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and financial performance benchmarks. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in client interface and quality assurance during the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the electrical engineering scope for high-voltage substation projects

• Supervise site activities to ensure alignment with approved designs and safety standards

• Manage reporting, technical reviews, and address non-conformances as required

• Coordinate with client stakeholders including TRANSCO and other authorities

• Lead planning, organizing, and supervision of engineering and construction inspection activities

• Verify and close out installed quantities during project completion phase

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the UAE

• Proven track record with utilities such as TRANSCO, ADDC, DEWA, etc.

• Strong technical understanding of substation engineering and project supervision

• Solid communication and leadership skills to coordinate across teams and clients
