GenBio AI, a Silicon Valley–headquartered start-up with branches in Paris and Abu Dhabi, is pioneering the future of biology and medicine through Generative AI and Large Biological Models (LBM). We are looking for a passionate Research Scientist Intern to join our hybrid Abu Dhabi office. This role offers the chance to work with a world-class team of AI researchers, computational biologists, and innovators at the intersection of artificial intelligence and life sciences.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct cutting-edge AI and computational biology research.

Improve existing AI models and explore new methodologies.

Design and execute experiments, analyze complex datasets, and apply statistical techniques.

Validate AI system performance and robustness through rigorous testing.

Collaborate with AI/ML researchers and biologists to advance AI-powered biological foundation models.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
-
M.S. or Ph.D. student (or equivalent expertise) in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related fields.

Proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as JAX, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

Strong theoretical foundation in statistics, optimization, graph theory, and linear algebra.

Passion for interdisciplinary research at the intersection of AI and biology.

Self-driven, motivated, and comfortable working in a start-up environment.

Familiarity with software engineering best practices (version control, documentation, etc.).
Preferred (Nice to Have):

3rd-year Ph.D. student or above.

Research contributions in top-tier AI/ML or biology journals/conferences.

Previous internship experience at leading AI research companies (e.g., OpenAI, DeepMind, Google Research).

Hands-on experience in AI-biology integration and large-scale distributed training.

Open-source contributions with real-world impact.
