The Department of Anatomy, College of Medicine & Health Sciences at United Arab Emirates University is offering a one-year Research Assistant position (November 1, 2025 – October 31, 2026) under the supervision of Prof. Mohd Z. Allouh. This role is ideal for enthusiastic young medical professionals with an MBBS/MD degree, seeking to contribute to medical and biomedical research in the areas of Neurosurgery, Clinical Anatomy, Histology, and Applied Physiology. Candidates should be capable of working independently and have a strong academic background. UAE graduates are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct experimental research on animals (rodents).

• Perform medical literature searches and reviews.

• Collect, analyze, and interpret research data using appropriate software tools.

• Prepare reports, manuscripts, and documentation related to research findings.

• Support ongoing medical and biomedical projects in the department.

• Undertake other related duties as assigned by the research supervisor.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• MBBS/MD degree with a strong academic record (mandatory).

• Good knowledge in at least two of the following areas: Neurosurgery, Clinical Anatomy, Histology, Applied Physiology.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent research, data analysis, and documentation skills.

• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• UAE graduates are strongly preferred.

• Passing USMLE Step 1 exam is an advantage.

• Previous experience with animal handling and medical literature reviews is desirable.

Employment Details:

• Contract Duration: 1 year (Nov 1, 2025 – Oct 31, 2026).

• Salary: AED 3,000 per month.
