Job Title: Remote Accountant / Bookkeeper 

Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our growing team in a remote role. As the ideal candidate, you will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of UAE accounting regulations. You will manage the company’s daily financial tasks, prepare comprehensive financial reports, and ensure compliance with local tax laws while working independently and collaborating remotely with the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records for both the company and its clients.

• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and perform regular bank reconciliations.

• Process client invoices and ensure timely collection of payments.

• Handle employee payroll and maintain accurate payroll records.

• Monitor cash flow and assist in managing company budgets.

• Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with UAE tax regulations.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies when necessary.

• Assist in internal audits and implement financial controls to ensure the accuracy of company data.

• Provide management with valuable insights on financial decisions and opportunities for cost savings.

• Maintain confidentiality and ensure the integrity of financial data.

• Foster effective communication with team members and management using remote collaboration tools.

Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on the UAE market (experience with free zone companies is an advantage).

• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally, or similar).

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and financial compliance standards.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Strong ability to work independently in a remote work setting.

• Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of Arabic or Russian is a plus.

• Reliable internet connection and a home-office setup conducive to remote work.
