Job Overview:
The Regulatory Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with the UAE Central Bank and UAE Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) regulations. This position includes managing a wide range of regulatory matters, including consumer protection, outsourcing, corporate governance, licensing, client classification, and capital adequacy requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

UAE Central Bank Regulatory Compliance:
-
Ensure adherence to Consumer Protection Regulations and manage complaint-handling mechanisms.

Oversee outsourcing regulation compliance, including due diligence, risk assessments, and reporting.

Monitor corporate governance and employment regulations, ensuring senior management meets the fit and proper requirements.

Conduct periodic training on governance and compliance obligations.

UAE Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) Compliance:
-
Ensure the firm maintains valid SCA licenses and meets all regulatory obligations.

Oversee the licensing process, including applications, renewals, and regulatory approvals for new business activities.

Monitor client classification and suitability assessments, ensuring adherence to SCA regulations for high-net-worth individuals and professional/ordinary investors.

Conduct internal audits and controls to verify compliance with client categorization rules.

Capital Adequacy & Financial Requirements:

Oversee compliance with capital adequacy requirements in collaboration with the Risk Management Team.

Conduct periodic reviews to ensure financial and regulatory requirements are met.

Skills and Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a regulatory compliance role, preferably within a financial institution.

In-depth knowledge of UAE Central Bank regulations, SCA regulations, and other relevant financial regulations.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior management and regulators.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
