Valura.ai is a fast-growing, early-stage, SCA-licensed wealth tech startup based in Dubai. We’re on a mission to simplify investing for the GCC region. Our lean and agile team thrives on building innovative digital experiences from the ground up. We are currently looking for a React Native Developer Intern who is excited to contribute to real product development while learning the ins and outs of startup life.

This internship is perfect for developers who want to build their portfolios, ship real features in production, and gain hands-on mentorship from experienced engineers in a modern tech stack environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and refine new UI screens, components, and micro-interactions for both iOS and Android platforms.

• Participate in agile two-week sprints, stand-ups, and ticket refinements.

• Maintain high-quality code: refactor, write unit tests, maintain >80% test coverage, and fix bugs.

• Complete learning modules on navigation, animations, CI/CD, and performance profiling.

• Innovate during monthly “Hack Friday” by pitching and prototyping your own feature ideas.

Requirements:

• Solid foundation in JavaScript (ES6+, async/await, arrow functions).

• Basic knowledge of React—props, state, hooks, and JSX.

• Demonstrated interest in mobile development (React Native projects or personal apps).

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Clear communicator with team spirit and respectful Git practices.

Nice-to-Haves (But Not Required):

• Familiarity with TypeScript.

• Experience with Expo or React Native CLI.

• Basic knowledge of REST or GraphQL APIs.

• Exposure to mobile performance tools (e.g., Flipper, Hermes).

• Awareness of CI/CD workflows.
