The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) is seeking a skilled and experienced QA Unit Head to lead its Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing robust QA strategies, overseeing test automation, ensuring software compliance, and driving continuous process improvement. This full-time, on-site leadership role requires excellent technical, strategic, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Leadership & Strategy:

• Define and implement QA strategy aligned with DCT’s technology roadmap

• Drive adoption of test automation, CI/CD practices, and QA best practices

• Establish and monitor key QA metrics and compliance standards

Test Planning & Execution:

• Oversee test plans, cases, and scripts for various testing scopes

• Implement and manage automated testing frameworks

• Collaborate with development teams on DevOps integration

• Track and resolve defects efficiently

Process Improvement & Innovation:

• Lead QA audits and continuous improvement initiatives

• Recommend and implement improved testing methodologies

• Stay up-to-date with QA trends and emerging technologies

Stakeholder Management & Communication:

• Align quality expectations with product, development, and business teams

• Present QA performance and process reports to senior management

• Manage external testing partners and vendors

Shared Responsibilities:

• Contribute to technology strategy with QA integration

• Lead and mentor QA team members, fostering career development

• Manage QA budget and resource allocation

• Develop and enforce QA policies, systems, and procedures

• Ensure timely reporting in line with DCT standards

Candidate Requirements:

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)

• ISTQB, Agile Testing, or Test Automation certifications preferred

Experience:

• 5–7 years of experience in QA or software testing, with 3+ years in a leadership role

• Proven skills in test automation, performance testing, and security testing

• Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in test tools: Selenium, Appium, Cypress, JMeter, Postman

• CI/CD and DevOps: Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps

• Test management tools: Jira, TestRail, Zephyr

• Programming: Python, Java, JavaScript

• Strong knowledge in performance, security, and test data management

Soft Skills:

• Strong English communication (Arabic desirable)

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

• High initiative, multitasking, and prioritization abilities

• Ability to work independently and manage stakeholder relationships effectively
