Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control activities for large-scale MEP construction projects in Dubai. The role is responsible for driving quality excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, minimizing rework, and leading a high-performing QA/QC team across multiple project zones.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical MEP expertise with leadership, stakeholder coordination, and a proactive approach to quality management.

Key Responsibilities

Culture, Values & Leadership

• Promote company values and embed a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

• Lead by example in enforcing quality standards and ethical practices.

• Manage and mentor the QA/QC MEP team with clear delegation and performance expectations.

People & Performance Management

• Set KPIs and performance targets for QA/QC personnel.

• Monitor performance, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions where required.

• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development of QA/QC staff.

• Foster strong collaboration with internal teams, consultants, clients, and third parties.

Project Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate QA/QC requirements with MEP engineering and construction teams across all project zones.

• Review and approve ITPs, Method Statements, and QA/QC procedures.

• Ensure inspection and testing readiness aligned with project milestones and schedules.

Quality Assurance, Control & Compliance

• Ensure MEP works comply with IFC drawings, specifications, contracts, and UAE authority requirements (DEWA, DCD, ADDC, SEWA, etc.).

• Review and approve material submittals, supplier documentation, and certification packages.

• Lead internal and external audits and manage corrective and preventive actions.

Risk, NCR & Cost Control

• Identify quality risks and implement mitigation strategies.

• Manage NCRs, CARs, punch lists, and ensure timely closure.

• Minimize rework, defects, and material wastage through proactive quality planning.

• Provide technical input for variations, NCR resolutions, and rectification works.

Reporting & Deliverables

• Ensure timely submission of QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, and compliance records.

• Provide quality-related technical support to commercial and project teams.

• Maintain accurate KPI, BSC, and performance tracking documentation.

Candidate Requirements

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (mandatory).

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (preferred).

• Membership in professional bodies such as ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE is an advantage.

Experience

• 2–4 years in a QA/QC Manager or Senior QA/QC MEP role.

• 6–8 years of total industry experience.

• Experience on large-scale projects (AED 500M+ preferred).

• Prior experience with consultants or EPC contractors in the GCC.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, ELV, Fire Protection.

• In-depth understanding of QA/QC processes, inspections, testing, and commissioning.

• Knowledge of international standards and UAE authority regulations.

• Expertise in NCR management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
