Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Purchaser to join our construction operations team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong UAE market experience in procuring Civil and MEP materials, with proven ability to manage end-to-end procurement activities across multiple projects. This role demands strong supplier networks, commercial acumen, and effective coordination with project and site teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant material sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of Civil and MEP materials for ongoing construction projects

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors to secure best commercial terms

• Prepare and issue RFQs, analyze quotations, conduct commercial comparisons, and finalize purchase orders

• Ensure all procured materials comply with approved submittals, project specifications, and applicable standards

• Maintain strong relationships with local UAE suppliers and stay updated on market pricing, lead times, and availability

• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and Stores teams to ensure timely material delivery

• Monitor delivery schedules, follow up on lead times, and resolve procurement or supply issues proactively

• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, budgets, and approval procedures

• Maintain accurate procurement documentation, supplier records, and material tracking reports

• Support value engineering initiatives by identifying cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in purchasing within the construction industry, handling both Civil and MEP materials

• Strong knowledge of construction materials, technical specifications, and UAE supplier landscape

• Proven experience dealing with local UAE vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers

• Engineering qualification preferred (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)

• Excellent negotiation, cost control, and commercial evaluation skills

• Strong communication and coordination abilities with internal teams and external stakeholders

• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in MS Office and ERP / procurement systems
