Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead critical bridge maintenance and rehabilitation works executed under contracts with Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). This role demands strong expertise in structural maintenance, deep familiarity with RTA standards, and the ability to manage complex infrastructure projects within live traffic environments while ensuring safety, quality, and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Plan, execute, and manage bridge maintenance projects in line with RTA specifications, contract requirements, and UAE regulations.

• Oversee structural rehabilitation, preventive maintenance, and emergency repair works.

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Technical Oversight

• Supervise replacement of expansion joints and bearing systems (elastomeric, pot, and mechanical bearings) following approved engineering methods.

• Manage crack assessment and repair strategies including epoxy injection, routing and sealing, stitching, and structural strengthening.

• Oversee concrete repair programs addressing spalling, corrosion mitigation, cathodic protection, and protective coating applications.

• Ensure proper execution of jacking procedures and structural stabilization techniques.

Traffic & Site Coordination

• Coordinate traffic management schemes to enable safe construction activities within operational road networks.

• Ensure minimal disruption to public mobility while maintaining strict safety controls.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Enforce QA/QC procedures, HSE standards, and RTA inspection requirements across all project stages.

• Review and approve technical submissions, method statements, and risk assessments.

Stakeholder & Contract Management

• Liaise with RTA engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination.

• Manage procurement, scheduling, claims, cost control, and resource allocation.

• Lead progress meetings and resolve technical or contractual challenges proactively.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare detailed progress reports, engineering documentation, and performance updates.

• Maintain compliance records aligned with regulatory and contractual obligations.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 15 years of project management experience in bridge construction and/or maintenance projects.

• Mandatory experience delivering projects directly for RTA in Dubai.

• Proven ability to manage infrastructure works under live traffic conditions.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred).

Technical Expertise

• Expansion joint replacement systems.

• Bearing replacement methodologies and jacking operations.

• Structural crack repair and strengthening techniques.

• Concrete rehabilitation, corrosion treatment, and waterproofing systems.

• Strong understanding of RTA specifications, approvals, and quality frameworks.
