The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi is hiring a Programming and Community Engagement Unit Head for the Al Ain Museum. This role involves leading the design, development, and execution of innovative public programs and community engagement initiatives that promote inclusive participation and cultural appreciation. The successful candidate will play a vital role in positioning the museum as a hub for cultural learning and community connection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive public programming and engagement strategies aligned with museum goals.

• Conceptualize engaging programs, workshops, and events for diverse audience groups including youth, families, elders, and People of Determination.

• Conduct audience research and integrate feedback for continuous improvement.

• Manage end-to-end execution of programs, ensuring operational excellence and community impact.

• Collaborate with internal teams, schools, universities, NGOs, and cultural groups for outreach initiatives.

• Promote community-centered museum practices and represent the museum in public forums.

• Lead, motivate, and develop unit staff to achieve objectives and uphold organizational values.

• Ensure compliance with DCT’s policies, reporting requirements, and EHS standards.

• Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and sustainability practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Culture, Museum Studies, Education, Museology, or related field (Master’s preferred).

• 5–7 years of experience in audience-centric museum or cultural programs, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

• Strong background in public engagement, community partnerships, and inclusive programming.
