This full-time role is open to candidates based in the EMEA region and offers the opportunity to work from anywhere while shaping the future of open source software in industries like AI, IoT, cloud computing, and more.

As a Product Manager at Canonical, you will lead product development, drive strategy, collaborate with engineering and business teams, and play a key role in creating enterprise-ready software solutions. This is a general application for product management roles across various domains such as Cloud, IoT, AI/ML, Telco, Automotive, Finance, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive product lifecycle from planning to launch

• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales teams

• Conduct market research and analyze customer needs

• Set product vision and strategy

• Manage usability testing, product iterations, and feedback

• Develop go-to-market strategies and support sales initiatives

• Represent product strategy across departments and ensure cross-team alignment

• Travel up to 4 times per year for team sprints and events

Ideal Candidate Should Have:

• Strong academic background

• Knowledge of Linux and open source ecosystems

• Technical understanding of cloud, software development, or IoT

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

• Curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and ownership

• Passion for open source technologies

• Product management experience preferred for senior roles

• Ability to manage multiple product lines and drive team consensus

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Expertise in verticals like Telco, Finance, Automotive

• Experience with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)

• Knowledge of embedded systems, networking, or distributed systems

• Experience managing distributed international teams
