Antal International, on behalf of a well-established retail client in Abu Dhabi, is hiring an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee procurement operations for a leading supermarket. This full-time, on-site role is essential in managing both local and international sourcing strategies, with a focus on optimizing supply chain performance across food, non-food, and fresh produce categories.
The successful candidate will possess deep knowledge of procurement practices within the supermarket/retail sector and have a strong track record of managing supplier relations and driving cost-effective sourcing decisions. Salary: AED 15,000 – 20,000/month
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the complete procurement process for all supermarket categories including fresh produce, dry goods, and non-food items.

Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with both local and international suppliers.

Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms while ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Collaborate closely with store operations teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels and avoid stockouts.

Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic purchasing decisions.

Ensure procurement efforts are aligned with organizational budgets and long-term goals.

Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals to boost efficiency and performance.
Requirements:

7–10 years of UAE-based experience in procurement within the supermarket or retail industry.

Demonstrated ability to manage supplier negotiations and build long-term partnerships.

Deep understanding of sourcing fresh, dry, and perishable goods from diverse markets.

Strong analytical thinking, leadership, and communication skills.

Arabic nationality required.

Must currently reside in the UAE.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
