Job Summary:
We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Procurement/Category Manager – Specialty Chemicals to join our Abu Dhabi team. This role is vital to sourcing and managing chemicals used in water treatment processes. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and a drive to optimize cost while supporting environmental sustainability and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify and manage suppliers for water treatment chemicals and raw materials.

Lead negotiations, manage vendor performance, and build strategic supplier relationships.

Monitor market trends to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper inventory and timely procurement.

Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and company policies.

Drive sustainability by sourcing environmentally responsible materials and alternatives.

Track chemical quality and regulatory compliance in coordination with QA teams.

Use SAP and other tools to manage procurement processes efficiently.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Chemistry, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).

8–10 years of procurement experience, preferably in sourcing chemicals for water treatment.

Strong understanding of water treatment processes and chemical compliance standards.

Excellent negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.

Proficient in SAP and supplier management systems.

Experience balancing sustainability goals with procurement efficiency.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to travel up to 15% as required.
