Role Overview
We are seeking a technically strong Procurement Engineer – Process & Equipment to control and validate technical documentation, support complex equipment sourcing, and act as an internal technical consultant across engineering and procurement functions. The role requires expertise in process engineering fundamentals, equipment selection, and technical-commercial evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Reverse Engineering & Technical Analysis

Perform reverse engineering of industrial equipment and process systems using existing installations, OEM documentation, and incomplete or legacy technical data.

Reconstruct and validate process logic, equipment configurations, operating parameters, and constraints.

Identify design gaps, technical risks, and optimization opportunities.
2. Technical Specifications & Design Control

Review and verify technical specifications, datasheets, equipment lists, PFDs, and P&IDs.

Ensure alignment between process requirements, equipment capabilities, and safety constraints.

Conduct technical clarifications and coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
3. Engineering Calculations & Process Support

Execute and validate mass and energy balances, hydraulic calculations, and equipment sizing.

Support selection of key equipment including reactors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, filtration and separation systems, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary units.

Utilize engineering simulation tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS or equivalent) when required.
4. Technical Consulting & Cross-Functional Support

Act as an internal technical reference for procurement, sales, presales, and project teams.

Participate in technical discussions with clients and EPC partners.

Review and validate supplier-proposed technical solutions.

Provide engineering input for complex or non-standard cases.
5. Technical-Commercial Contribution

Support preparation of technical-commercial proposals.

Validate technical scope and assess project feasibility and risks.

Contribute to CAPEX-level estimates from an engineering perspective.

Identify technical risks impacting cost, schedule, and operability.
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field (Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering preferred).

2–3 years of experience in roles such as Process Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer, or EPC Engineering Specialist.

Strong understanding of industrial process equipment and technical documentation.

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to work across engineering and procurement functions in an international environment.
