Process Technician (Plastic Industry)

ALPLA Group, a global leader in plastic packaging solutions, is looking to hire an experienced Process Technician at its Dubai facility. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in plastic processing, particularly blow moulding or injection moulding. The technician will play a vital role in maintaining machine performance, ensuring production efficiency, and upholding product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain blow moulding/injection moulding machines, including starting/stopping and mechanical adjustments

  • Conduct parison control and ensure regrind level, flash length, weight distribution, and product dimensions meet quality standards

  • Perform minor repairs, mechanical troubleshooting, and adjustments as needed

  • Ensure machines operate within safety and quality guidelines, supporting production schedules

  • Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with process parameters and reporting

  • Support changeover teams and production efficiency initiatives

  • Monitor material consumption and strive for waste reduction

  • Maintain proper documentation (downtime, efficiency, production logs)

  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety practices

  • Participate in 5S implementation and improvements for workplace organization


Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in the plastics industry, especially in pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics, and electrical troubleshooting

  • Knowledge of plastic blow moulding or injection moulding systems, processes, and controls

  • Experience operating production machines and familiarity with utility/infrastructure systems

  • Basic knowledge in plastic engineering/manufacturing, toolmaking, or electrical/electronic systems

  • Electrical Certification preferred

  • Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Windows operating systems

  • Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and process improvement skills

  • Ability to work in rotational day and night shifts

  • Strong verbal communication skills in English
