Freight Investor Services (FIS), a leading global freight and commodities brokerage, is expanding its Dubai operations and seeking a Physical Shipbroker (Dry Cargo) to join their team. As the world’s largest broker of dry freight futures, FIS provides a robust platform for professionals in shipping markets, commodities, and data services.
This full-time, on-site role is ideal for experienced shipbrokers with a proven background in dry cargo markets (Handymax / Supramax / Panamax vessels). The successful candidate will focus on generating leads, building client relationships, and providing market insights across the dry cargo segment.
Key Responsibilities:

Actively promote FIS services and provide clients with freight market intelligence and analysis.

Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients through daily engagement and market updates.

Generate new leads and expand the client base through proactive outreach and market networking.

Support trading strategy by identifying market trends and new opportunities.

Conduct daily price discovery and client matching.
-
Write market reports and provide trade ideas to clients.

Ensure professional representation of FIS in client meetings, events, and business interactions.
Risk & Compliance Responsibilities:

Maintain awareness of risk management and compliance procedures in accordance with FIS policies.

Complete all required internal training and maintain up-to-date compliance standards.
Training & Development:

Engage in regular feedback sessions with team leadership.

Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) activities.
Key Requirements:

Proven success in dry cargo shipbroking is essential.

Strong background with Handymax, Supramax, or Panamax vessels.

In-depth knowledge of dry cargo shipping markets.

Excellent client engagement, networking, and negotiation skills.

High attention to detail with strong analytical and numerical abilities.

Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
