Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City is seeking a Patient Access Officer for its Longevity Clinic to manage patient scheduling, insurance verification, registration, and front-desk operations. The role involves ensuring a smooth patient access experience, aligned with the clinic’s administrative standards and patient care priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately schedule patient appointments and coordinate service availability.

• Ensure proper use of the facility’s registration and health information systems (HIS).

• Verify insurance benefits, eligibility, and pre-authorizations in compliance with payer protocols.

• Generate and monitor cash receipts and daily registration reports.

• Manage and respond to routine patient inquiries related to admissions and insurance.

• Supervise and ensure optimal staffing for reception and call center duties.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient data and documentation.

• Address patient and family complaints with professionalism and empathy.

• Work collaboratively with other departments to support service delivery.

• Participate in and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

• Available for shift-based work to support 24/7 departmental coverage.

Accountabilities

• Respond to internal/external requests in line with SSMC protocols.

• Investigate and resolve complaints within assigned timelines.

• Achieve and maintain clinic fill-rate targets and KPIs.

• Ensure timely completion of all tasks within assigned areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

Education

• Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Experience

• Required: 2–4 years of relevant experience.

• Preferred: Experience in a large healthcare facility or hospital environment.

Key Competencies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of healthcare administration and insurance processes.

• Proficient in using hospital information systems (HIS).

• Customer-focused mindset with cultural sensitivity.
