Al-Futtaim Group, a diversified global business headquartered in Dubai, is seeking an experienced Online Merchandiser to join its retail fashion team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the fashion website’s product content, driving online sales, improving traffic conversion, and enhancing the digital customer experience across e-commerce platforms. The role will require collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to execute online merchandising strategies that align with Al-Futtaim’s fashion brand image.

Responsibilities:

Driving Sales:

  • Set up products for sale on fashion websites and mobile apps using e-commerce platforms.

  • Manage online merchandising and category listings to ensure product visibility and ease of purchase.

  • Report weekly sales performance for products and categories.

  • Ensure website assets are photographed, retouched, and aesthetically aligned with the brand.

  • Monitor web analytics in accordance with guidelines.

  • Assist in coordinating initial allocations, new samples, and core replenishments.

  • Oversee the delivery of products to distribution centers and manage on-sales and pre-sales activities.

Traffic Conversion:

  • Develop and implement improvement plans to enhance the customer experience.

  • Publish promotional collateral for online platforms and create new landing pages.

  • Incorporate best practices online to ensure a seamless online-to-offline customer experience.

Audit Reports:

  • Prepare and analyze conversion data and trends.

  • Conduct catalog audits to ensure the right products are listed on fashion online platforms.

  • Monitor inventory levels across GCC domains.

  • Use analytics tools to explore trends and identify opportunities for growth.

Marketing Plan:

  • Manage demand based on sales insights.

  • Develop SEO (search engine optimization) strategies and pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns.

  • Propose and set up promotions for online platforms.

  • Report on promotion performance for each campaign.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager to refine digital strategies for website merchandising, promotions, personalization, and new digital experiences.

  • Keep the e-commerce site engaging and dynamic with banners, blogs, and content updates.

  • Coordinate and deliver promotional collateral for international domains.

Team Collaboration:

  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, including buying and brand teams.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, such as the Creative and Marketing teams, to ensure cohesive digital marketing strategies.

Skills Required:

  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on trading performance.

  • A keen eye for product selection and merchandising.

  • High customer focus and a deep understanding of customer needs.

  • Knowledge of e-commerce operations, fulfillment, and post-purchase behavior.

  • Analytical and numerical skills with hands-on experience in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Analytics.

  • Experience in digital marketing KPIs and e-commerce websites.

  • Experience in both e-tail and retail environments.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Marketing or equivalent.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an e-commerce or merchandising role, preferably in a multi-channel retail or pure-play e-commerce environment.

  • Solid understanding of e-commerce operations and retail processes.

  • Experience with platforms such as Shopify or similar.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Analytical skills and experience with digital marketing metrics.
