Position: OHS Officer – UAE National

As an Occupational Health and Safety Officer at SGS, you’ll play a vital role in supporting UAE University (UAEU) in creating and maintaining a safe, compliant, and healthy working environment. This full-time, on-site role is exclusively open to UAE Nationals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver annual safety objectives in alignment with UAEU goals

• Provide expert advice on health & safety to university departments

• Support compliance with statutory OHS regulations

• Conduct risk assessments and recommend effective control measures

• Develop safety procedures and assist in policy creation

• Carry out routine health & safety inspections

• Act as the university’s liaison with local authorities, especially in line with the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification

• UAE National (Emirati passport holder)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of UAE occupational safety regulations is a plus
