HSBC is looking for an NRI Business Development Officer to join their UAE NRI Representative Office. The role involves new customer acquisition through external collaborations, activities, and engagement. It is a self-sourcing position with responsibilities that include participating in third-party/industry events, assisting customers with account openings, and ensuring compliance with HSBC’s KYC/AML norms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and participate in third-party/industry events, corporate offices, and marketing activities.

• Assist with account opening and ensure proper documentation verification.

• Provide customers with up-to-date information on India services as available on HSBC public websites.

• Maintain records of all product/service referrals.

• Assist customers with account activation, including debit card activation and digital account setup.

• Address customer queries and ensure cross-border guidelines and KYC/AML compliance.

• Respond to customer complaints promptly and deliver fair outcomes.

• Maintain call reports and MIS as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Minimum of two years of banking sales or equivalent business development experience.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

• Strong customer focus and business development skills.

• Planning and organizational skills with a strong sense of accountability.
