Neurodiversity Career Development Specialist
Virginia Wesleyan University Dubai , UAE

Virginia Wesleyan University is seeking a Neurodiversity Career Development Specialist to join their team in Dubai. This is a full-time, on-site, two-year grant-funded role focused on supporting neurodiverse students with personalized career counseling, job placement, and transition services. The role plays a pivotal part in fostering an inclusive environment that supports student success in education and the workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one career coaching and counseling to neurodiverse students.

  • Develop and deliver career-related training and educational curriculum.

  • Facilitate internship and job placement opportunities in collaboration with employers.

  • Build and maintain partnerships with inclusive employers who support neurodiversity.

  • Support students through career transitions and provide ongoing guidance.

  • Perform duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President for Student Success.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.

  • Experience: Prior experience working with neurodiverse individuals in educational or workforce settings is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and employment.

  • Ability to develop professional networks and employer relationships.

  • Empathy, patience, and adaptability in supporting diverse student needs.
