Natural Resources Engineer
WTW Dubai , UAE

WTW is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Natural Resources Engineer to join their growing Natural Resources Property and Casualty team in Dubai. This full-time, on-site role focuses on the Oil, Gas, and Petrochemicals sectors and will involve handling risk engineering for multinational clients, primarily in downstream operations such as refineries, gas processing, LNG, and petrochemicals.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry across various functions such as operations, engineering, or HSE, and should possess a degree in Chemical, Petroleum, or Mechanical Engineering. The role requires a strategic thinker who can lead risk engineering programs, perform risk surveys, and prepare technical risk assessments that support insurance placements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead risk engineering strategies tailored to insured clients.

  • Coordinate and manage global execution of engineering surveys for various facilities.

  • Prepare comprehensive marketing risk assessment reports according to WTW’s standards.

  • Calculate potential loss expectancies and recommend risk improvement measures.

  • Support clients and internal teams with technical insights on industry best practices.

  • Maintain tracking tools, schedules, and planning spreadsheets.

  • Present internal and external publications including coverage alerts and market trends.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Oil, Gas, and Petrochemicals industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Chemical, Petroleum, or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Familiarity with international standards such as API, ASME, NFPA, ANSI, IEEE.

  • Strong report-writing capabilities and attention to technical detail.

  • Knowledge of fire protection and detection systems is advantageous.

  • Risk management certifications or accreditations are a plus.
