Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a skilled Multimedia Reporter based in the UAE to create high-quality digital content for its platforms. This full-time, on-site role involves storytelling through clear writing, video, and audio, aimed at providing insightful and investigative journalism focused on MENA and U.S. affairs.

Responsibilities:

• Produce per-piece digital content including video reports, articles, features, photographs, and interviews aligned with MBN’s editorial standards

• Gather and verify information through interviews and research, ensuring accuracy and adherence to MBN’s Journalistic Code of Ethics

• Pitch timely story ideas that have strong editorial value and relevance to MBN’s priorities

• Collaborate closely with editors to tailor content for various platforms such as text stories with embedded video, data visualizations, and social media adaptations

• Maintain regular communication with editors and cultivate a broad network of credible news sources

• Manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, 24/7 news environment

• Perform additional duties as assigned based on organizational needs

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in journalism or multimedia reporting

• Expertise in shooting and editing compelling online video packages

• Fluency in Arabic and strong English communication skills

• Proficiency with modern journalism tools including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube

• Strong news judgment, energy, and self-motivation

• Demonstrated investigative journalism or data journalism experience

• Ability to simplify complex topics into engaging storytelling

• Strong research skills, with ability to utilize data, documents, and open-source tools

• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Knowledge of Middle Eastern culture and current international and U.S. events is highly desirable

• Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic work schedule
