Middle East Broadcasting Network (MBN) is hiring a Multimedia Reporter (Per-piece Contractor) to produce impactful, high-quality content across its digital platforms. This Dubai-based role requires strong journalistic storytelling skills, fluency in Arabic and English, and the ability to deliver investigative and engaging multimedia packages tailored to MENA and U.S. affairs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop compelling stories involving video, text, data, and audio for MBN platforms.

• Conduct interviews, verify sources, and craft reports based on investigative journalism and public policy.

• Create original, high-quality content (video packages, digital stories, features, articles, live/taped interviews).

• Collaborate with editors to align content with MBN priorities and audience needs.

• Pitch timely, relevant stories with strong editorial value and multimedia potential.

• Maintain journalistic integrity in accordance with MBN’s Code of Ethics.

• Engage in cross-functional collaboration to integrate visual, audio, and data components in storytelling.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field (Required)

• Minimum 2 years of professional journalism experience

• Track record in investigative reporting, data journalism, or public policy coverage

Skills & Tools:

• Strong video production and editing expertise

• Excellent Arabic fluency with proficient English communication

• Familiarity with digital platforms: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube

• Ability to independently produce full story packages (concept to delivery)

• Strong understanding of the MENA region and U.S. international policies

• Demonstrated use of data, open-source tools, and primary documents in reporting

Preferred Qualities:

• Deep knowledge of Arabic culture

• Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple stories

• Flexible availability to support a 24/7 newsroom
