Job Title: Modest Fashion & Abaya Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pattern Cutter with proven expertise in modest fashion, particularly abaya design. In this role, you will be instrumental in bringing creative visions to life by developing accurate and elegant patterns that reflect the essence of modesty, style, and comfort. You’ll work closely with designers and tailors to ensure every garment meets our quality, fit, and cultural expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft precise, production-ready patterns for a variety of abaya styles—including classic, kimono, butterfly, open front, and modern designs.

• Interpret design sketches and specifications to create patterns aligned with the brand’s aesthetic and modest fashion principles.

• Work with premium fabrics such as crepe, chiffon, nida, satin, and embroidered textiles, ensuring patterns accommodate their unique properties.

• Refine and adjust patterns based on fittings, fabric behavior, and feedback from clients or the design team.

• Grade patterns across sizes while preserving the garment’s elegance and proportional integrity.

• Collaborate with sample makers to oversee prototype development and fitting sessions.

• Maintain a well-organized pattern archive and document updates for future use.

• Stay current with abaya fashion trends, fabric innovations, and cutting techniques.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–6 years of experience as a Pattern Cutter, preferably in modest or abaya fashion.

• Strong knowledge of manual pattern drafting; CAD skills are an advantage.

• Experience with modest cuts that maintain style, fit, and full coverage.

• Excellent understanding of garment construction and fabric handling, particularly for flowing and embellished materials.

• Highly detail-oriented with an eye for fit, symmetry, neckline shaping, and garment balance.

• Effective communicator with the ability to work closely with designers, tailors, and production teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in luxury or bespoke abaya production.

• Knowledge of embroidery placement and embellishment alignment.

• Understanding of cultural nuances in modestwear and regional preferences.
