Job Title: Mobile Crane & Heavy Equipment Maintenance Engineer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Crane & Heavy Equipment Maintenance Engineer to manage the servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of mobile cranes, including truck-mounted, all-terrain, and rough-terrain models. This position requires ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with all relevant regulations for lifting equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance:

Perform regular scheduled maintenance on mobile cranes to ensure reliable operation and minimize equipment downtime.

Troubleshooting & Repairs:

Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and control system faults in mobile cranes.

Safety Inspections:

Conduct safety inspections and performance testing in compliance with OEM standards and regulatory requirements.

Documentation & Reporting:
-
Maintain accurate service records, inspection checklists, and maintenance logs.
-

Breakdown Response:
-
Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly, providing field repairs as necessary.

Component Monitoring:

Inspect lifting components (wire ropes, boom sections, sheaves) and recommend necessary replacements.

Compliance Management:

Ensure all cranes comply with statutory inspection regimes such as OSHA, LOLER, and ASME B30.5.

Collaboration & Scheduling:

Coordinate with crane operators and logistics teams to schedule maintenance without impacting ongoing operations.

Continuous Learning:

Stay updated with technical bulletins, service manuals, and manufacturer guidelines.

Commissioning & Decommissioning:

Assist with crane commissioning and decommissioning when required.

Work Environment:

Primarily fieldwork in yards, workshops, or on project sites, potentially in challenging weather conditions.

Exposure to noise, dust, grease, and heavy lifting is expected.

Must be comfortable working at heights and in varying conditions.
Skills & Requirements:

Education:
-
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Experience:

At least 3 years of hands-on experience in mobile crane maintenance.

Technical Expertise:

Proficient in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems, diesel engines, electrical systems, and control panels.

Crane Knowledge:

Familiar with various crane brands (Liebherr, Grove, Tadano, Terex, Manitowoc) and their respective systems.

Certifications:

Certification in crane maintenance or inspection (e.g., NCCCO, LEEA) is a plus.

Driving License:

A valid home country driving license is required.

Work Ethic:

Ability to work under pressure, in remote locations, or extended shifts as needed.
