An MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the efficient and effective operation of all MEP systems within a construction project or building. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring all MEP operations align with project specifications, client requirements, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
– Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing team.
– Ensure MEP systems are installed per design specifications and industry standards.
– Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of MEP systems and equipment.
– Collaborate with project managers and engineers to execute MEP activities efficiently.
– Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MEP systems.
– Review and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications for installations.
– Monitor project progress, team performance, and work quality.
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
– Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for material procurement.
– Prepare and present reports on MEP operational status to senior management.
– Manage and train staff, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development.
– Estimate and control budgets for MEP equipment maintenance and repair costs.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
– Minimum of five years of experience in supervising MEP site operations.
– Strong knowledge of MEP systems, installations, and maintenance.
– Proven experience in managing and leading teams with effective results.
– Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and stakeholders.
– Hands-on experience with MEP project management tools and software.
– Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines efficiently.
