MEP Supervisor

ENGIE is seeking an experienced MEP Supervisor to oversee daily mechanical maintenance operations at one of its sites in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will supervise maintenance teams, manage preventive and corrective activities, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Function Management:

  • Supervise day-to-day mechanical maintenance operations.

  • Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.

  • Issue work orders for fault rectification.

  • Propose and implement facility improvements and upgrades.

  • Ensure compliance with mechanical regulations and standards.

  • Support commissioning of new systems and staff training.

  • Maintain availability of tools, measuring, and testing equipment.

  • Coordinate and communicate job status and requirements with relevant departments.

  • Provide technical support in the field and oversee cargo handling for outgoing transports.

Quality, Safety, Health & Environment (QSHE):

  • Enforce safety and fire prevention protocols during maintenance work.

  • Conduct regular work area inspections for safety and mechanical integrity.

  • Handle hazardous materials responsibly.

  • Follow QSHE policies and procedures.

People Management:

  • Supervise, guide, and evaluate subordinate staff.

  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations and internal working conditions.

  • Monitor staff performance in terms of attendance, quality, and productivity.

  • Contribute to training and skills development of the team.

Skills Required:

  • Understanding of international mechanical maintenance standards.

  • Knowledge in valve operations and heavy equipment lifting.

  • Ability to make sound technical decisions and lead maintenance teams.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Capable of working under pressure, especially during breakdowns or shutdowns.

  • Strong coordination and people management skills.

  • Certification in confined space entry and high-radiation exposure preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Facility Management or related field.

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in the GCC region.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong planning, coordination, and time management abilities.

  • Leadership in scheduling, prioritizing, and organizing team tasks.

  • Hands-on decision-making and problem-solving skills.
