Overview:
A prestigious developer-backed construction firm in Dubai is seeking an accomplished Senior MEP Projects Director to lead and oversee major residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects across their lifecycle—from concept design to execution, commissioning, and handover.

In this executive role, you will provide strategic and technical leadership for all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works, driving engineering excellence, cost efficiency, timely delivery, and compliance with the highest quality and safety standards. You will coordinate closely with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver complex, high-value projects in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all MEP project activities, covering HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, ELV, and more.

• Oversee design, procurement, execution, testing & commissioning phases to ensure alignment with project goals.

• Collaborate with consultants and architects to validate designs and propose value engineering solutions.

• Manage multi-disciplinary teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to achieve cost, quality, and schedule targets.

• Conduct technical reviews of submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings to ensure adherence to specifications and regulations.

• Optimize resource planning, procurement, and project logistics to enhance operational efficiency.

• Represent the company with clients, government entities, and executive stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships.

• Perform regular site inspections and audits for quality, safety, and progress monitoring.

• Identify risks and implement proactive solutions to mitigate delays or budget impacts.

• Prepare detailed progress and status reports for executive management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.

• 18–20 years of MEP project experience, including at least 5–7 years in a senior leadership role within the GCC.

• Proven success managing large-scale, high-value projects (AED 500M+) ideally with Tier 1 contractors or developer-led initiatives.

• Comprehensive understanding of UAE codes, standards, and approvals (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defense, etc.).

• Strong commercial insight, including experience with contract frameworks like FIDIC.

• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, BIM tools, and other MEP-related software.
