Our client, a leading main contractor in the UAE and part of a well-established group, is looking to appoint an experienced MEP Director to oversee the delivery of high-value, large-scale building projects including high-rise towers, residential communities, retail, and leisure developments.

This leadership role requires full ownership of the MEP function across design, installation, commissioning, and handover phases. You will direct internal teams and external MEP contractors to ensure timely delivery, quality standards, and full regulatory compliance (including QHSE and local authority standards).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all MEP functions across multiple concurrent construction projects

• Oversee MEP design review, value engineering, coordination, execution, and commissioning

• Manage subcontractors and internal teams for timely, high-quality delivery

• Ensure alignment with project milestones and contract specifications

• Implement and enforce safety, regulatory, and quality standards (QHSE, RERA, municipality codes)

• Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues

• Optimize costs and ensure commercial efficiency across MEP packages

• Maintain consistent reporting, documentation, and project tracking

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline

• 15+ years of experience, with proven leadership on high-rise and large-scale construction projects

• Prior experience in a main contractor or reputable MEP contractor is essential

• Track record of managing MEP works from design to handover

• Strong commercial understanding and project management skills

• Familiarity with project planning tools (Primavera, MS Project)

• Solid knowledge of QHSE compliance

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Experience managing large site teams and subcontractor networks
