Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking a Part-Time Member Service Representative to join its team at NS Rota, Spain. This role involves delivering exceptional member service while supporting a full range of banking products and services. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a passion for helping members achieve financial well-being.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and supportive environment and is best suited for professionals with experience in banking, customer service, or financial institutions. It is a part-time on-site role with hours ranging from 20 to 25+ hours per week, depending on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist members with opening and managing checking, savings, certificates, IRA, revocable trust, and estate accounts.

Process applications for consumer loans, mortgages, equity loans, overdraft protection, and credit cards.

Research and resolve discrepancies related to member accounts and loans.

Counsel members on products and services to maximize financial benefit and cross-service opportunities.

Handle cash and negotiable instruments following established policies.

Perform platform banking functions such as account maintenance and transaction processing.

Support junior staff and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Comply with federal regulations and internal policies, including Bank Secrecy Act requirements.

May support vault opening, closing, and balancing procedures as a custodian.
Qualifications:

Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working knowledge of banking products, account types, and financial services.

Excellent active listening, communication, and customer relationship skills.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Analytical thinker with effective problem-solving capabilities.

Comfortable using multiple screens and learning new technologies.

Proficient in math and accurate with numerical data.

Willing to participate in specialized training as required (e.g., IRA, MLO, Notary).
Desired Qualifications:

Experience in retail banking, call centers, or credit union environments.

Prior experience working in a financial institution or customer service setting.
Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Monday – Saturday, 20–25+ hours per week (longer hours during training)
Compensation: $19/hr – $22/hr
Location: Command Bldg 1A USNAVSTA, Rota, Andalusia 11530 ES
