Amgen, a global leader in biotechnology, is looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to be based in Kuwait. This hybrid role requires interacting with healthcare professionals, leading medical affairs activities, and providing scientific expertise to support Amgen’s mission of serving patients. The role involves engaging with key stakeholders, supporting clinical trials, and ensuring compliance with medical regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical & Scientific Engagement:

Serve as the primary scientific expert in Kuwait, engaging with healthcare decision-makers.

Communicate complex medical and scientific data to healthcare professionals (HCPs).
-
Lead General Medicine medical affairs activities in Upper Gulf.
-
Train and update Amgen’s speaker bureau on new research data.
-
Provide clinical and economic insights to payers and formulary decision-makers.
-
Gather and share market insights, trends, and unmet medical needs.
Clinical Research & Development:
-
Act as a liaison for investigator-sponsored trials and support Amgen-sponsored research.

Assist in the selection of clinical study sites and provide field support.
-
Support training of HCPs involved in clinical trials.
Compliance & Reporting:
-
Ensure regulatory and medical compliance in all interactions.
-
Accurately document scientific engagements and ensure proper profiling of Opinion Leaders (OLs).

Maintain operational excellence and share innovative ideas to improve patient care.
Events & Representation:

Represent Amgen at medical education programs, congresses, and conferences.
-
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance scientific awareness.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
-
Advanced Clinical/Science Degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent).

Experience in the pharmaceutical industry (Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, or Operations).

Previous MSL experience or background in the Therapeutic Area preferred.

Strong knowledge in Medical Education, Research Standards, and Medical Writing.

Digital proficiency and ability to work in a hybrid setup.

Fluent in English and local languages.

Eligible to work in Kuwait (Meeting visa requirements).
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in clinical study management and scientific publications.

Training in regional/local and international medical regulations.

Advanced knowledge of Biostatistics and Epidemiology.

Familiarity with drug safety and clinical drug development processes.
