Role Overview
The Mechanical Maintenance & Automation Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing mechanical and automated systems across high-speed production lines. The position requires a strong combination of mechanical expertise, automation knowledge, and hands-on problem-solving skills to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Perform servicing, repair, and integration of mechanical components within industrial machinery and automated systems.

Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.

Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation systems.

Maintain and support robot-controlled production systems, including drives, sensors, vision systems, and safety technologies.

Execute functional testing, performance validation, and troubleshooting of automation equipment and control programs.

Develop and enhance predictive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and improve asset performance.

Collaborate with engineers, toolmakers, and external partners on system improvements and technical upgrades.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in implementing advanced manufacturing technologies such as AMRs and 3D printing.

Provide technical guidance and training to operational staff when required.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial automation or automated manufacturing environments.

Familiarity with cam-controlled machinery such as Bihler, Wafios, or similar systems.
Technical Skills

Experience working with high-speed automated assembly lines and industrial automation platforms (e.g., Festo, Omron, B&R, PIA, Stiwa).

Knowledge of CAD tools (such as Creo Direct) and machine safety standards.

Hands-on expertise in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.

Experience integrating or maintaining robotic systems (e.g., Mitsubishi, Stäubli).

Understanding of servo technology, drive systems, and automated production diagnostics.

Strong technical aptitude, manual dexterity, and structured problem-solving ability.
