Role Overview
As a Mason, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the luxurious appearance and integrity of our property. You will install, repair, and maintain high-end marble, granite, ceramic, and porcelain tile finishes across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. Your expertise ensures a flawless finish that meets the high standards expected in luxury hospitality.
Key Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain marble, granite, ceramic, and porcelain tile finishes with precision and care

Apply masonry techniques for surface preparation, cutting, shaping, grouting, leveling, sealing, and polishing
-
Ensure seamless tile layout and alignment to meet luxury design standards
-
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and promptly address potential issues
-
Maintain a clean, organized work environment and proper care of tools and materials
-
Coordinate with engineering staff to ensure smooth operations
-
Report maintenance problems or safety hazards immediately to management
-
Comply with Dorchester Collection policies, SOPs, and safety regulations
Qualifications & Skills
-
Proven experience in marble and tile installation and repair, preferably in luxury hotels or high-end properties
-
Strong knowledge of stone masonry techniques, surface preparation, and finishing methods
-
Ability to work with various natural stones and ceramic tiles, understanding their maintenance needs
-
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tile layout plans
-
Physically fit to lift, carry, kneel, and work on hard surfaces for extended periods
-
Certification or diploma in tile/masonry, construction, or related trade
-
Experience in restoring antique or heritage marble finishes is a plus
-
Knowledge of eco-friendly materials and sustainable practices is advantageous
-
Familiarity with related trades (waterproofing, carpentry, painting) is a plus
-
Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service ethic

Proficient in English communication
