Joby Aviation is pioneering the future of affordable, all-electric global air transportation with its cutting-edge electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. Since 2009, the company has been designing and testing prototypes to bring urban air mobility (UAM) to life. Joby is launching its first commercial air taxi service in partnership with Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority, aiming to revolutionize city transport by enabling quiet, vertical takeoffs and seamless travel above congested streets.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Marketing Manager to join our UAE team. As Joby’s first marketing hire in the region, you will play a crucial role in launching the world’s first commercial urban air mobility service. Reporting to the UAE General Manager and collaborating closely with Joby’s US-based marketing team, you will lead local marketing initiatives, events, social media, and brand partnerships to build awareness, excitement, and community engagement around Joby’s air taxi service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute high-profile launch events and community experiences, coordinating with local agencies, venues, and vendors.

  • Represent Joby authentically at public engagements, pop-ups, and marketing activations across the UAE.

  • Manage and grow Joby’s local social media presence, creating timely, engaging content tailored to the UAE audience.

  • Localize global campaigns in partnership with the US marketing team ensuring brand consistency across all channels.

  • Develop and manage strategic brand partnerships to enhance Joby’s market presence.

  • Coordinate production of digital and physical marketing materials with creative agencies.

  • Support media and influencer engagement, including site visits, press materials, and coverage tracking.

  • Monitor campaign performance, public sentiment, and market trends to inform marketing strategy.

  • Assist with internal communications and cross-functional marketing projects.

  • Stay informed on cultural moments, technology trends, and mobility news to keep Joby’s brand relevant locally.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in marketing, communications, brand management, or event production, preferably in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.

  • Strong storytelling ability with a keen eye for design, detail, and tone.

  • Proven track record managing successful social media campaigns and brand activations.

  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as in a global, distributed team.

  • Experience collaborating with vendors, agencies, and cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Must be based in Dubai and willing to travel internationally (15–20%), particularly to the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in mobility, aviation, luxury, technology, or lifestyle brand marketing is a plus.
