Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Marine Operations & Compliance Superintendent to oversee fleet management, ensuring that vessels operate at peak efficiency while adhering to maritime regulations and safety protocols. This role involves managing vessel maintenance, providing technical support, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Fleet Oversight: Supervise daily operations of the fleet, ensuring adherence to safety, performance, and regulatory standards.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with maritime laws and safety regulations, implementing best practices for risk management.

Technical Support: Address maintenance and operational issues, offering technical guidance to vessel crews.

Crew Supervision: Oversee crew operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Chartering Coordination: Work closely with the chartering team to ensure vessels are technically prepared and fully operational.

Incident & Risk Management: Investigate incidents, analyze risks, and implement corrective measures to enhance operational safety.

Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date records of vessel certifications, inspections, and maintenance logs.

Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor vessel efficiency and identify improvement opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent maritime certification.

Minimum 5+ years of experience in marine operations, ship management, or fleet compliance, preferably in freight brokering or ship chartering industries.

Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Technical expertise in vessel maintenance, compliance audits, and performance assessments.

Ability to lead and manage crews effectively while coordinating with multiple departments.
