Job Description:
Uber is seeking a Manager, Taxi Operations to lead and execute strategies for integrating traditional taxis onto the Uber platform in the UAE. This role focuses on improving marketplace balance, enhancing customer experience, and driving operational excellence across the taxi vertical. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong business and analytical skills and deep familiarity with operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Ownership: Collaborate with leadership to define and execute a vision for the Taxi team. Translate company strategy into actionable team goals.

• Business Sense: Own taxi performance metrics and use operational data to drive business decisions.

• Problem Solving: Use logic and data to identify issues across people, process, and technology, and lead cross-functional efforts to resolve them.

• Process Optimization: Drive process improvements, standardization, and performance monitoring across taxi operations.

• Stakeholder Management: Act as a thought partner across internal teams and ensure the Taxi team’s goals and needs are well-represented.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in operations, management consulting, investment banking, technology, or other high-intensity environments

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing setting

• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making mindset

• Excellent process design and execution skills

• Strong strategic problem-solving capability

• Experience managing external partnerships

• Demonstrated success in scaling new business verticals

• Prior knowledge or expertise in the Taxi industry is a strong advantage
