Position Overview
The Maintenance Cleaner will be responsible for the upkeep and beautification of gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas at Al Maha Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa, Dubai. This role ensures that the resort’s natural environment remains attractive and inviting to guests, maintaining high standards of landscaping and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, seed sowing, bed preparation, and planting.

• Use and maintain hand tools and light machinery, including cylinder and rotary mowers, strimmers, and leaf blowers.

• Adjust mower height and ensure quality of cut; check oil levels and inspect machinery for damages, reporting issues to engineering.

• Adhere to Health & Safety legislation during all tasks and ensure all equipment and machinery are securely stored and cleaned after use.

• Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, trees, and lawns.

• Maintain gardens with natural fertilizers and irrigation, prune trees and hedges to promote plant health and aesthetics.

• Maintain lawn and grass areas without the use of chemicals.

• Keep gardens, pathways, and thoroughfares clear of litter.

• Ensure irrigation systems are functioning properly.

• Perform outside maintenance including pathways, ponds, steps, and walls.

• Clean and tidy outdoor areas, including the main building, SPA, car parks, tool sheds, and storerooms.

• Ensure all designated areas including villas, SPA, boardrooms, and pathways are consistently clean and well-maintained.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 3 years of related experience, preferably in hotel engineering or landscaping maintenance.

• Knowledge of plant care and landscaping techniques.

• Ability to operate and maintain gardening machinery.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow maintenance schedules.

• Commitment to safety and adherence to health regulations.

• Well-organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
