An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join a leading international shipping and logistics company based in Sierra Leone, West Africa. This role is ideal for a driven professional with a solid background in freight forwarding and project logistics, looking to lead regional operations in a challenging and rewarding environment.

You will be responsible for managing the daily logistics and supply chain activities, overseeing multimodal freight operations, and supporting strategic growth initiatives in the region. You’ll also play a critical role in maintaining client relationships, developing the team, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all freight forwarding activities including land, air, and sea logistics.

• Manage project logistics for mining, oil, and gas sectors.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

• Support business development by identifying and pursuing new opportunities.

• Lead, train, and mentor logistics staff to ensure high performance and professional growth.

• Ensure all logistics operations adhere to local regulations and company compliance guidelines.

• Collaborate with the General Manager to expand market presence, particularly in Guinea and West Africa.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or project cargo management.

• Previous exposure to African markets is a plus but not essential.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• High level of initiative, problem-solving ability, and commercial awareness.
