About the Role:

A globally recognized international law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join its growing UAE-based legal team. This position offers broad exposure to regulatory, commercial, and corporate legal matters across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Ideal for a proactive, solutions-driven legal professional ready to take ownership in a dynamic, cross-border environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct contractual and risk assessments during pre-tender and project bidding phases

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and corporate agreements, including FIDIC-based contracts

• Provide legal advice on statutory compliance, corporate governance, and internal policies

• Support the legal aspects of licensing, corporate structuring, and renewals

• Offer legal insights to HR, Finance, Operations, and Tax departments on day-to-day contractual risks

• Monitor regulatory changes across the UAE and KSA; perform legal gap analyses

• Manage dispute resolution support and coordinate with external counsel when required

• Contribute to the improvement of contracting workflows, legal templates, and knowledge management systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); advanced degrees or bar admission is a plus

• At least 3 years of post-qualification legal experience in the GCC (UAE & KSA exposure essential)

• Solid experience in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law

• Previous work with real estate, startups, engineering, or consultancy firms is preferred

• Fluent English is essential; Arabic language skills are advantageous

• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and provide pragmatic legal advice

• Willingness to travel within the region if required
