DNV, a global leader in assurance and risk management, is hiring a Legal Counsel to join its Dubai office. This full-time, on-site role supports the company’s operations across the Middle East and Asia Pacific region, focusing on legal matters for the Inspection Business and other DNV business areas including Energy Systems, Maritime, and Digital Solutions. Reporting to the Head of Group Legal (MEA & APAC), the successful candidate will be responsible for contract negotiations, corporate law matters, litigation support, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, negotiate, and finalize commercial agreements including service contracts, MOUs, subcontract agreements, and procurement deals.

• Advise internal stakeholders on corporate, contractual, IP, and regulatory issues.

• Provide legal support on mergers, acquisitions, and strategic business restructurings.

• Assist in litigation and dispute resolution processes.

• Liaise with external counsel and ensure consistent legal governance.

• Conduct legal training and promote compliance across business functions.

• Drive process improvements in internal legal operations.

Job Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with 3–5 years of experience in commercial and corporate legal matters.

• Background in a top-tier law firm or multinational in-house legal department.

• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.

• Professional English fluency; Arabic is an advantage.

• Experience in the UAE or GCC region preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.

• Willingness to travel across GCC, India, and other APAC regions as required.
