Andersen in the United Arab Emirates, part of the globally recognized Andersen network, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join their dynamic legal team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support to legal professionals, focusing on corporate advisory matters, legal research, compliance, and assistance with M&A transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth legal research, particularly for due diligence prior to business acquisitions and setups.

  • Assist with corporate advisory activities, including company registration, client onboarding, and obtaining necessary licenses.

  • Draft, review, and manage contracts, agreements, memorandums, and legal correspondence.

  • Ensure compliance with UAE labour laws, visa regulations, corporate laws, and international tax regulations.

  • Support mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions by drafting legal documents and performing due diligence.

  • Conduct Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) checks, ensuring regulatory compliance (AML certification is a plus).

  • Manage project timelines, track deadlines, and ensure all legal filings are completed on time.

  • Liaise effectively with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders as required.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in a legal support role within the UAE is essential.

  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, UAE regulatory framework, AML regulations, and contract drafting.

  • Excellent legal research, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software tools.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting corporate and M&A transactions.

  • Familiarity with UAE business setup processes and compliance requirements.

  • AML certification or hands-on experience in AML/CFT compliance is highly advantageous.
