🎯 Job Purpose

As a Learning & Development Officer, you will be responsible for identifying skill gaps and implementing targeted training strategies to ensure continuous staff growth. You will facilitate engaging programs across all departments, monitor training effectiveness, and align initiatives with HR strategies to promote service excellence.


🛠️ Key Responsibilities

  • Identify Skill Gaps: Conduct job analysis and performance appraisals to assess the skill levels and training needs of employees.

  • Develop Training Programs: Design and facilitate comprehensive training sessions, workshops, and onboarding programs tailored to different departments.

  • Monitor Effectiveness: Track the success of training initiatives, maintain development records, and introduce improvements to ensure performance enhancement.

  • Compliance and Continuous Learning: Align training strategies with labor regulations and HR strategies, fostering a culture of continuous learning within the organization.

  • External Certifications: Coordinate external certifications when necessary, ensuring staff meet required industry standards.


🎓 Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a Learning & Development Officer role, preferably within the hospitality industry.

  • Skills:

    • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication abilities.

    • A solid understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.

    • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and other training technologies is an advantage.
