Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced ERP Release & Cutover Management Lead to drive the successful delivery of large-scale SAP transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for overseeing release management, cutover planning, and environment strategy to ensure seamless deployment and minimal disruption to business operations.

You will work closely with system integrators, technical teams, and business stakeholders to coordinate end-to-end ERP releases, manage SAP transports, and lead the transition from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities

Release Strategy & Planning

• Define and execute a comprehensive ERP release roadmap aligned with business goals

• Coordinate cross-functional teams to plan and prioritize releases

• Manage SAP transport strategy across Development, QA, and Production environments

Release Governance & Control

• Establish release governance frameworks and quality standards

• Monitor risks, approvals, and compliance for all releases

• Ensure proper documentation and tracking of transport requests

Release Execution

• Lead end-to-end release cycles from development to production

• Ensure thorough testing in non-production environments

• Coordinate deployments, upgrades, and patches with stakeholders

Cutover Management

• Develop and execute detailed cutover plans for ERP go-live

• Conduct mock cutovers and dry runs to validate readiness

• Lead go-live activities ensuring data integrity and system stability

Environment Management

• Define and maintain environment strategy across all ERP landscapes

• Oversee setup, configuration, and maintenance of system environments

• Manage access controls, system performance, and availability

Post-Release Support

• Monitor system performance post-deployment

• Resolve issues and implement rollback strategies if required

• Provide reporting on release performance and risks

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Act as the central communication point across IT, business, and vendors

• Provide regular updates on release readiness and cutover progress

• Manage risks, escalations, and mitigation strategies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field

• 8–10+ years of experience in ERP implementation and release management

• Strong expertise in SAP (preferably S/4HANA)

• Experience with SAP Basis, transports, and environment management

• Proven ability to manage large-scale transformation programs

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Certifications: PMP, ITIL, SAP certifications
