American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) is seeking a Lead, Global Real Estate professional for its Dubai office. This full-time, on-site role involves overseeing real estate and facility management activities across a global portfolio. The ideal candidate will manage leasing, design, construction, renovation, operations, and maintenance of office spaces while ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage global real estate programs ensuring space consistency, safety, and brand image

• Acquire, design, renovate, and operate leased properties globally

• Maintain a central repository for real estate agreements and financial commitments

• Coordinate with real estate brokers and manage negotiation processes

• Specify and assist in designing office spaces and selecting furnishings

• Ensure high standards of facility maintenance and employee comfort

• Act as liaison with property owners and local company staff

• Support global office security and access control

• Assist in vendor negotiations and service agreements

• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets for real estate projects

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations (OSHA, ADA, or local equivalents)

• Maintain up-to-date documentation and recommend improvements to facility procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in real estate, construction, or related fields); equivalent experience may be considered

• 3–5 years of experience in facility management and real estate negotiations

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with stakeholders at all levels

• Familiarity with ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems

• Supervisory experience is a strong plus

• Willingness to travel as needed
